Privacy Policy

In short: WIWIClean analyzes your disk right on your Mac. Your files and their contents are never sent anywhere. We don't show ads, don't use trackers and don't sell data.

1. Who we are

This policy describes how the developer of the WIWIClean app and the wiwiclean.com website ("we") handles data. For any questions, write to support@wiwiclean.com.

2. What happens only on your Mac

• The app scans your disk to show what takes up space. Analysis results are stored locally in ~/Library/Application Support/Sweep.
• Full Disk Access is used only for on-device analysis. File contents are never sent and never leave your Mac.
• App settings are stored in the standard macOS preferences file.

3. What is sent to our server

Anonymous launch statistics

On launch, the app sends a random device identifier, the app version, the macOS version and the system language to api.wiwiclean.com. The identifier is created by the app itself and is not linked to your Apple ID, serial number or name. We use this to understand how many people use the app and which versions to support.

AI check of consequences

This feature is on by default and can be turned off in the app's Settings. When it is on, before showing an "After deletion" tip the app sends our server the item type (for example, "app cache"), the app name and its identifier (bundle ID), a location like ~/Library/… without your user name, and the device identifier.

Never sent: file contents, or the names and paths of files in your Documents and Desktop folders.

Our server passes the item description, without the device identifier, to Anthropic, PBC so that the Claude model can describe the consequences of deletion. The answer is stored on our server for up to 30 days without being linked to a device, so identical questions are not sent again. The device identifier is used only to limit the number of requests and is kept for about a day. Anthropic processes this data under its privacy policy.

Update checks

The app periodically downloads a list of versions from wiwiclean.com. As with any request to a website, the server receives your IP address and technical request details.

Purchases and subscriptions

Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy, the merchant of record that processes payments and taxes. Only Lemon Squeezy receives your card details; we never see them. We receive your email address, chosen plan and paid-until date in order to enable WIWIClean Pro on your device. Sign-in link emails are sent through the Resend service.

4. The wiwiclean.com website

The website uses no cookies, analytics or third-party scripts. Your chosen site language is remembered in your browser's storage (localStorage) on your device. Downloading the installer increases a total download counter — without IP addresses or other visitor details. The website and server run on Cloudflare infrastructure, which processes technical request data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks.

5. How long data is kept

• Launch statistics — while the app is in use.
• AI answers — up to 30 days. A device's request counter — about a day.
• Subscription data — while the subscription is active and for the period required for payment records.

6. Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by writing to support@wiwiclean.com from the address used for your purchase. You can turn off the AI check in the app's Settings at any time. Launch statistics contain nothing we could use to identify you.

7. Children

WIWIClean is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

8. Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
